Juno Privacy Policy
Effective Date: December 2025 | Last Updated: December 2025
Welcome to Juno ("the App" or "Juno"). We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information to ensure a trustworthy and secure experience on our platform.
This Privacy Policy ("the Policy") applies to all users who are 18 years of age or older, or the age of majority as determined by the laws of your country. If you are under 18 or the legal age of majority, please do not use our Services.
By accessing or using Juno, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Policy. We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time. For material changes, we will notify you through in-app notifications or other means. Your continued use of the Services after the update date signifies your agreement to the revised Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
You may choose to provide us with the following personal information when using Juno:
- Account Registration Information: To create an account, you need to provide your phone number or email address (for verification and login), password (stored in encrypted form), date of birth (to verify age eligibility), username, gender, profile photo, and preferred language.
- Profile Information: You may choose to complete your profile with details such as an alias, personal photos, gender, location, bio, links to social media accounts, education, or profession.
- User-Generated Content: This constitutes the primary content you create while using the Services, including but not limited to:
- Real-time audio and video streams during 1-on-1 video/voice chat sessions.
- Text, images, voice messages, and virtual gifts sent in chats, feeds, or comments.
- Any photos, videos, or other materials you choose to upload or publish.
- Facial Recognition Data: To enable effects, filters, or AR emojis during video chats, we may need to process your facial feature data offline. Unless we obtain your additional consent, this data is used solely for real-time effect rendering and not for identification or other purposes. For "Real-Profile Authentication" to prevent fake accounts, we will, with your consent, collect your avatar photo and real-life photo for identification and comparison. This verification video is used for immediate identity verification only and is typically deleted after the process is complete, not stored long-term on our servers.
- Payment and Transaction Information: When you purchase paid services such as virtual gifts or subscriptions, we generate transaction records and purchase history. Please note that specific payment instrument details such as credit card numbers or PayPal account information are processed directly by the third-party payment service provider you choose; we do not collect or store them.
- Social Network Contacts: With your explicit permission, to use features like "Find Friends," we may access the contact list on your device.
- Location Information: If you wish to use location-based features (e.g., discovering nearby users), you may choose to grant us access to your GPS data. You can disable this permission at any time in your device settings.
- Communications and Preference Information: The email address and descriptions you provide when contacting customer support, as well as your preferences for push notifications (e.g., for new messages or match alerts).
- Third-Party Account Information: If you register or log in to Juno via a third-party social account (e.g., Facebook, Google), we will receive basic information such as your name and profile picture per that platform's policies and your authorization.
1.2 Information We Collect Automatically
- Device and Log Information: Device model, operating system, unique device identifiers (e.g., IDFA, AAID), IP address, network type, browsing and usage records (e.g., matching history, interactions), and app crash reports.
- Location Information: Coarse Location: Approximate geographical location inferred from your IP address or SIM card information.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to remember your login status, personalize content recommendations (e.g., matching preferences), and analyze service usage. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, but this may affect some functionalities.
1.3 Information We Obtain from Other Sources
- Third-Party Service Providers: We may receive anonymous or consented information from partners such as advertisers and data analysts for analytics and security purposes.

- Service Improvement and Personalization: To analyze service usage to develop and improve new features, optimize matching algorithms, and provide you with personalized content recommendations and advertisements.
- Content Moderation and Customization: To review user-published content to ensure compliance with laws and community guidelines; to research your preferences for content, features, and ads to customize and enhance your experience.
- Performance Analysis and Security: To perform data analysis to monitor aggregate metrics (e.g., total users, activity levels); to diagnose and fix technical issues; to detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, illegal activities, and infringement of intellectual property rights.
- Legal Compliance: To enforce our Terms of Service and comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Purposes Based on Cookie Technology: We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies (e.g., web beacons) to automatically collect information to measure and analyze how you interact with the platform, enhance your experience, and improve our Services. By using the App, you consent to our use of Cookie technology as described in this Policy.
Please note: Depending on the specific context, we may process your personal information based on one or more legal grounds (such as performance of a contract, your consent, or our legitimate business interests).
3. How We Share Your Information
We only share your information in the following circumstances and are committed to minimizing the scope of sharing:
- Information You Make Public: Please note that if you set your profile to public or share information during 1-on-1 chats with your match, this content will be visible to the relevant users. You should exercise caution in deciding what to share.
